The Legally Blonde Prequel Series Has Found Its New Elle Woods!
The world just got a little blonder!
After Prime Video’s Legally Blonde prequel project was greenlit in May 2024, the search for the next Elle Woods was underway with many fancasts circling social media. Well, the search is over as Reese Witherspoon just announced Lexi Minetree as Elle!
Witherspoon broke the news on Instagram with a video sitting down with Minetree as she told her she got the part. Tears were shed, Minetree had a sweet phone call with her mom, and hugs were embraced. The series will follow a young Elle Woods in high school as she navigates her experiences that shaped her to become the Elle we all adore. This also comes as Minetree’s first lead role in a TV series after her appearances on Law & Order: SVU and The Murdaugh Murders.
