The Traitors Episode 7 Puts The Nail In The Coffin For Two Contestants

tv

With Boston Rob finally banished, Traitors Carolyn Wiger and Danielle Reyes are free to murder as they please in The Traitors episode 7. Their first elimination post-Boston Rob was an interesting one. Of the contestants eligible for murder, Chrishell Stause is chosen and meets the Traitors in her final moments. Danielle and Carolyn claim Chrishell was too faithful, thus she’d never get banished. As a Selling Sunset fan, I was sad to see sweet Chrishell go, but at least we still have beautiful Dylan Efron for another week!

Carolyn barely escapes her Traitor status being revealed at breakfast, but luckily Tom Sandoval inadvertently saved her. Shortly after breakfast, the team is sent on their next mission, and it was reminding me of a terrifying Pretty Little Liars episode. The contestants were divided up into teams where one half of the group had to listen to creepy baby dolls singing and the other half had to try to figure out what the song was. While this mission wasn’t as thrill-seeking as the previous ones, this one was by far my favorite due to Tom’s dedication to singing the doll’s tunes very dramatically. As shady as he is, he is hilarious television and I hope he sticks around until the end.

Suspiscions rise on Britney Haynes, who is sticking close to Danielle. However, speculations about Ciara Miller rise once again when everyone remembers she was one of the contestants in the coffins — and she survived. With all the other contestants who were in a coffin now dead, it does seem like Ciara could have been a Traitor who willingly went into a coffin to throw everyone off her scent. As good of a theory as this is, it is not true. However, Ciara’s frustration around the situation only makes her look more guilty to the Faithfuls.

Tensions rise at the roundtable where Britney, Danielle, and Ciara all must defend themselves. Danielle gets the attention off of her fairly easily, but Britney and Ciara aren’t as lucky. While everyone voted for Ciara, it is clear that the Faithfuls have their eye on Britney going forward. Ciara is banished from the castle and the Faithfuls cringe at themselves as they realize they have killed off another one of their own.

At the turret, Alan Cumming presents Danielle and Carolyn with a choice. They can either murder a Faithful, or they can recruit one to join their team. However, if they choose to recruit, there will be no murder. Danielle pleads with Carolyn to let Britney join the Traitors, but Carolyn still doesn’t fully trust Danielle. As an outsider watching this, I can see pros and cons to adding Britney to the Traitors. If they do add Britney, with suspicions already on her, Carolyn could easily throw Britney under the bus. However, Britney and Danielle could also team up and take out Carolyn, which I would hate to see happen. I truly believe Carolyn could win this season and I’m dying to see that happen.

Only time will tell on whether Danielle and Carolyn decide to murder or recruit a Faithful. Don’t miss the next episode of The Traitors next Thursday on Peacock.
