Charlie Cox Returns As Matt Murdock In Daredevil: Born Again Trailer
Everyone’s favorite crime fighting lawyer is finally returning to Disney+!
Charlie Cox is reprising his role as Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again. Murdock is a blind lawyer with enhanced abilities that help him protect New York from the criminal underworld through his law firm and through his secret alter ego Daredevil. His efforts to protect the city are mostly against his arch nemesis and former mob boss Wilson Fisk. This trailer reveals Matt gave up Daredevil and was sticking to the courtroom. However, now that Fisk is entering the political world of New York, he poses a larger threat than ever, and this seemingly forces Daredevil to come out of the shadows for another fight.
This will be the latest appearance of Daredevil since his previous entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spiderman: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Daredevil was an unfortunate casualty in 2018 when Netflix announced their Marvel television projects would be leaving the platform. Cox’s portrayal of Murdock is a beloved casting that audiences weren’t ready to part with. Luckily, Disney listened! Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will live on in the MCU, along with Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, and Vincent D’Onofrio’s infamous Wilson Fisk. Additionally, the trailer teased the surprise return of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher! His beloved series was another victim of the Netflix cancelations.
This first look at the new series promises for an epic adventure through Hell’s Kitchen once again. Make sure to catch the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ on March 4.
