A Misfit Sets Off On An Intergalactic Adventure In Elio Trailer

When a young boy gets abducted by aliens, he is mistakenly deemed the ruler of Earth and must help his new space friends battle an alien enemy in Pixar’s new animated film Elio. 

The trailer introduces us to Elio (Yonas Kibreab), an 11-year-old boy with a wild imagination who feels like he doesn’t belong. His dream is to be abducted by aliens — and his wish finally comes true! Beamed into the Communiverse, he meets the colorful aliens from all the galaxies. Trapped in webs, he meets his first alien friend Glordon (Remy Edgerly) and the two become the best of pals. 

Soundtracked by “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen, Elio’s adventures across the universe range from figuring out his place in life to facing off against Lord Grigon, who wants to conquer the other galaxies. It’s the adventure of a lifetime filled with dances, lasers, police chases, friendships, and more! Zoe Saldaña, Brad Garrett, Jameela Jamil, and Shirley Henderson round out the voice cast. 

Elio premieres June 20 in theaters.
