The Russo Family Makes A Magical Return In Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Trailer

Does your television seem more magical at the moment? Don’t be alarmed, everything is definitely what it seems, because the Russo family is back! David Henrie and Selena Gomez return as Justin and Alex Russo in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

The spinoff series takes place a decade after the original childhood classic came to an end. Henrie returns as the patriarch of his family, Gomez makes cameo appearances, and the duo are both executive producers. The trailer immediately transports adults who grew up on Wizards of Waverly Place back home. Alex Russo shows up at Justin’s suburbia home with Billie, played by Janice LeAnn Brown. Billie is a rebellious young wizard who instantly comes off as a reincarnation of the sassy, nonchalant Alex.

Alex begs her brother to help Billie harness her magic, but Justin is apprehensive. Justin is no longer a professor at WizTech and is living a normal life in the mortal world with his family. Alex insists that Justin is the only person who can help Billie. The trailer doesn’t give audiences much context as to why, but it seems that Billie holds the fate of the Wizard World in her hands. It’s still a mystery what that means, but the Russo family has saved the world a couple of times. What’s one more time?
